How to Negotiate Lots on Screen

When you access the CBC Agronegócios “Bid&Ask” screen, you will see numerous proposals for buying and selling.

To interact with one of them, click on that lot.

When you access the lot, you will see all the information related to the proposal just by scrolling.  To continue interacting, click on one of the available buttons, according to the description below.

When you interact with a Buyer´s Indication, you can choose one of the following:

  • “Counterindication/Sell”: To send a proposal or a question using the Observations field – trade cannot be booked.
  • “Firm Offer (Sell)”: To send a firm offer to sell, with a deadline – trade can be booked.

When you interact with a Seller’s Indication, you can choose one of the following:

  • “Counterindication/Buy”: To send a proposal or a question using the Observations field – trade cannot be booked.
  • “Firm Bid (Buy)”: To send a firm bid to buy, with a deadline – trade can be booked.

When you interact with a Firm Bid to Buy, you can choose one of the following:

  • “Firm Offer (Sell)”: To send a firm offer to sell, with a deadline – trade can be booked.
  • “Book Deal”: If you agree with all the data of the proposal, you can book the trade, which is nevertheless subject to approval by the party who input the bid so they can approve the seller.  The system already has the option “Subject to Approval”, in which the party making the counteroffer books the trade and stipulates a deadline for approval.

When you interact with a Firm Offer to Sell, you can choose one of the following:

  • “Firm Bid (Buy)”: To send a firm bid to buy, with a deadline – trade can be booked.
  • “Book Trade”: If you agree with all the data of the proposal, you can book the trade, which is nevertheless subject to approval by the party who input the offer so that they can approve the buyer.  The system already has the option “Subject to Approval”, in which the party making the counteroffer books the trade and stipulates a deadline for approval.

Clicking on one of these buttons uploads a form with the proposal’s information.  You can change any field and resend it to the offering party, who will receive an email advising receipt of a proposal, as well as an alert on the screen in the “My Operations” field.  They can see the alterations made, which are highlighted, and reply to the proposal.
